Customs Uk

I am awaiting a package which was sent from the US as a USPS global priority. When I use the tracking number the item was last scanned in Los Angeles over two weeks ago.

I can only imagine it is here in the UK but stuck in customs. How would I go about finding this out? I don't want to keep waiting to see as the item must be here with me before April 7th.

The company who shipped the item said it would take around 6-10 days to get to me personally and I am still waiting. I have contacted them and they have suggested leaving it a couple more days then they will chase up USPS at their end. But they have also suggested I contact customs here. But I have no idea how I go abut that or what info they will need form me to trace my package.

Anyone have any experience of this who could advise?

Thanks for your help.

Erm, that's for UPS, (the international courier) not USPS (the US Postal Service) - so not the same thing at all. If it's been sent by USPS then Royal Mail will be dealing with it once it hits the UK.
Have you asked the sender to confirm that a valid CN22 declaration was attached to the package? Without it the package would simply be confiscated by HMRC (or, more accurately, on behalf of HMRC by Parcel Force Worldwide, who have the contract to carry out routine postal inspections).

Try asking here about your missing package:

Thanks guys for your answers. I got a card through the door yesterday as I was out telling me that the package has arrived. Annoyingly it has a charge on it of £25 as customs fees which I was not expecting. It would seem the CN22 was filled out incorrectly and they also had to open my package. I can only hope that the item/s are not damaged when they arrive. I have emailed the company with regards to the charges as it was never mentioned that I would have to pay charges also. In total the shipping with the charges has come to £50 which is ridiculous to say the least, that's half the cost of the item.
Customs charges catch many people out and are one of the reasons to beware when buying from abroad

You would surely think though, that if a company (a well known one) is selling items and it is a personal service that this would be mentioned?! I would assume that anyway, as I have.

I would have thought that companies like EBAY/ETSY etc... the seller would have to have this displayed if they choose the to ship to the UK? Obviously not.
