on my nose and chin i have what i think are blocked pores
they look like little black dots all over my nose and chin between my bottom lip and jaw bone
i have tried nose strips which didnt do much good and i am curretnly using garnier deep poor unclogging wash and spot purifying toner

these have made minimal difference but not so much that theres noticable difference.ive been using these products for about a month and it says on the bottle see results from the first use
my skin feels smoother but i still have the very noticeable black dots

my questions are
are these black dots blocked pores?
can anyone recommend a product that isnt too expensive that will get rid of the black dots with continued use?

ideally i am after something to be used daily such as a cleanser and toner that will get rid of my problem

TIA ccxx

I used to be troubled with them and this worked for me.........shower gel on a body mop and give a good scrub every day and then apply a little moisturiser....then keep up a regular scrub and bob's your wotsit!

thanks I.Don.No but soap on my face makes me come out in a rash so no can do:(
any other ideas?
Boxtops provided a good link. Steam for a couple of minutes, and a clay based mask at least once a week.
Are you sure it's not just your pores you can see? Mine are quite visible but they're not blocked.

Maybe you need one of these...

L'Oréal Derma Genesis Pore Minimiser Smoother Day Cream
or Vichy Normaderm Night Pore Refining Care.........the L'Oreal is lovely for day wear....but does not last long.
You have blackheads, try getting some products that are designed specifically to remove blackheads.
Lots of similar typed devices on the net.

neutrogena do a fantastic blackhead cleanser that u soak a cotton pad with. They also do it in a wash. I have the same problem & even though i work for clarins i've found this is the best product for blackheads. I noticed results after 2weeks. If you exfoliate aswell u will notice your results within 4 weeks.
if you are prone to blackheads, it usually means excessive aciton of your sebacious glands. You don't specifiy your age, but this is normal during puberty when hormonal changes cause increases in the activity of the glands.

You need to keep your skin scrupulously clean, and your hair off your face. As well as keeping your skin clean, make sure your hair is washed regularly with a gentle soap - harsh cleansers will kick your glands into overdrive to replace removed natural oils.

Adjust your diet - out go fats and sugars, in come fruit and veg.

Combined with previous advice, you should see some positive results.
I use imperial leather shower gel...no soap in it!
You have to apply some home treatment before start to use any product.

• An effective home remedy to cure the problem of dark skin would be to mix 1 tsp of milk powder, 1 tsp of honey, 1 tsp of lemon juice and ½ tsp of almond oil. Make a paste and apply this on the face. Apart from removing the tan, it would also make the skin shine.

• Take some oatmeal along with curd and tomato juice. Apply this mixture on the face and keep it for about 20 minutes. Wash your face with cold water.

• Potato acts as a very good bleaching agent. Slice a potato and keep them over the face. This would lighten the marks.

• Take a little turmeric powder and add a few drops of lime juice. Apply this on the darkened area. This would help to reduce tan effectively.

If it not works effectively then you can use skin brightener product. It helps to make your skin brighter.
