my sister sends me emails which have powerpoint files attatched. however when i open them they are in notepad format. how is this ? i can recieve powerpoint files from a friend with no problems. can someone help ? thanks

Try opening the file from within PowerPoint instead of simply double clicking on the attachment.

thanks for replying but i have tried that and it still doesnt work :(

when my sis sends me this emails, the attachments all say " message5.txt " !!! but as i said ones from a friend are no bother to open. his attatchments are " pps ".

sorry, i should have said that she seems to manage to send it to others. her address is with hotmail and mine is btinternet. does this have anything to do with it. i read on the internet that it could be a software thing ???? about to give up on this but im not one for giving up !! :)
