Recently at a hotel at the Ayres Rock Resort in Northern Territory, Australia, I found what I thought was a small snake in my bathroom. I rang reception, who sent round someone to take a look. He called up the Reptile Centre, described it and they said it was a legless lizard. I've spent ages looking around on the net, but can't see a name for it. It was small, smooth and yellow with black spots. Does anyone know the name for it?
Nothing to do with the lizard, but I was watching Airline yesterday and there was a Dame Kitty Glitter on there...was that you or is she/he where you got your inspiration for the name from?
There are several types of legless lizard out there. The main families are the slow worms, the glass lizards and the legless skinks. Lizards have eyelids, and snakes don't. That's an easy give-away.
