Just put three ancient blankets on my local Freegle site, thought they might do for dog's bedding. Now gone a bit nostalgic. Two of them were wedding presents from my late in-laws 48 years ago. Great present though I doubt if youngsters nowadays would appreciate them lol.

Aw maggie, I would have had them off you for the dogs. I would have treasured them, just as you have. I hope they go to a good home.
I have some cellular ones, I bought from Brentford Nylons (remember - they sold crimplene too ROFL) Had them since 1964. They usually live in a bag in the loft, but have always been brought downstairs if anyone is feeling poorly, or needing to be mollycoddled on the sofa.
I can't bear to throw them out.
I used to love blankets, all warm and cosy with beautiful ribbon edges.

Nostalgia, it's not what it used to be,

;o)
I bought, and ribbon bound many small pieces from there for my babies cots and prams.
