My Loft & A Fear Of Heights
73 Answers
We bought our current house 2.5 years ago and I have to confess I have never been in the loft. I have a fear of heights and can't even manage a small step ladder let alone the wobbly contraption up to the loft.
I have no idea what is stored up there (apart from Mr O's extensive collection of guitars which I will only let him bring out one at a time).
He could have a harem of other women up there and I would never know.
Does anyone else have any real fears they cannot overcome?

Ever since, if I can see through something it sends shivers down my spine. Another time in Whitby, I couldn't walk along the Pier to the Lighthouse without my arm over the side of the rail - I could see the Sea through the sleepers, even though I was too big to fall through the gap.
I also suffer from an extreme form of Claustrophobia. I'm OK in Lifts and small spaces, but anything wider than the width of my shoulders and I start freaking out. I wouldn't even mention it in my last job because I wouldn't have trusted the people I worked with, not to have bound me in Bubble Wrap. I can't even watch the scene in Aliens, where they weld Lance Henricksen into a pipe.

Hey Ratter, aren't you coming on the jolly boy's outing to this place then?
