Disturbing Email

If you receive a disturbing email sent and addressed to you from a name and email address you don recognise, what can you do about it? Can it be traced to the sender?

It depends how disturbing it is, if it is obscene or threatening and directed at you personally for instance then report it to police.

if it it's just random spam, not a lot you can do.

Is is neither obscene not threatening but it is disturbing, particularly as I don't recognise the name of the sender. It includes my first name and was obviously sent to my email.

I get lots of rubbish addressed to me, you only have to have your email anywhere on the net and you get them. If it's not threatening or illegal I wouldn't worry.

Its probably just routine spam, delete it and forget about it.

Just delete it, vernon. I get spammed by all sorts but thankfully, my spam filter sends most of them straight into my junk box. Don't try to reply or open any links in it, just delete it.

Lol Tony, I got into a correspondence with a Nigerian king once, he was going to send his 20 year old daughter to England to deliver the £5.000.000 in person, He also suggested that I put her up for a few nights. I thanked him and told him to keep his money as I only have one bed and it isn't currently vacant.
