If You Could Live In Another Decade,...

Over the last few days I have noticed that my little finger on my left hand keeps going numb and tingley, well I think it's more the side of my hand actually.
My hubbie says I may have trapped a nerve as when he had Sciatica it felt like that in his leg.
The other thing I've noticed is if I touch my left elbow it feels weird, like when you knock you funny bone.
I'm wondering if it could be because I'm sat at a desk all day and I've recently swapped chairs, the one I have now has arms and I've had to lower it to fit under my desk, therefore, as I use a PC all day my arms are resting on the desk causing more pressure on my elbows.
Also when I put my arm in certain positions it does make the numbing worse.

If it persists, you might have to see a doctor, but I think sitting in one position like this might be the problem.
Get yourself a chair that's just right for you (or make the boss get you one - tell him it'll work out cheaper than paying you sick pay!).
I had a numb tingley feeling in my left index finger, when I went to the doctors he said that I had probably damaged a tendon in my elbow and this was causing the feeling.
My left hand is my mouse hand so I put a peice of foam under it for about 3 weeks and the feeling went away. It did take a while though. I have since dispensed with the foam and have had no further problems.
sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome.
Do you have to use any vibrating machinery?
See your doctor for anti inflammatorys, get a tubal support bandage for your wrist and elbow and keep it moving.
I had this when i had to use machinery, which irritated it, and no-one believed me because the doc didn't strap it up in a sling - but that is the worst thing as it goes numb! - i left the job.
you could try raising your seat slightly so that your elbow is above your wrist slightly
