Well for those interested, my Titanic night was a hit, I was shattered after it, but the food went down well.

The only disaster was I forgot to cook all the veg!!

Sounds delish FGT :o)

I've never been to a restaurant with a tasting menu but I'm really tempted as I like to have a selection of food rather than just a 3 or 4 course meal.
Good girl :o)
making jelly from scratch??

I wouldn't put it past her to have some hooves on simmer for the gelatine..;)
Sounds a great menu....and good fun as well.....

Life's too short for stufff like that humber ;-)
Not that "from scratch" sloop....
sadly so -

would the pea puree have enough oomph to sit on top of the pears though?
Question Author
yeah sloop, I used a bag of frozen peas with a handfull of mint boiled them and then used a hand blender and mixed a bit of cream, its very thick almost mashed potato thick.
Do you not sieve the peas for the pea puree?
sounds great
Question Author
No yummmm keep it thick.

Well that's me off up the apple and pears night all xx
Im always full of admiration for your titantic evenings, not just the food but the presentation and the dress, maybe this is because I have seen pictures of your last event, in regards to the "too much food issue" this is a special event, if this was the kind of thing posted daily I would find it wasteful and probably unbelievable.
Question Author
Thank you Cazzz, I agree about it being a special occassion, when i do other dinner parties there are normally only 3 or 4 courses.

And to ensure that there is no wastage, hubby gets fed leftovers the following day and I make soup out of the left over veg if I remember to cook it in the first place!!
If I have dinner guests they have a starter and main. If they want pudding they can go to the shop and buy themselves an ice cream :-)
