He's been arrested, not charged!

Hopefully it will end when anyone who has sexually abused another person against their will is arrested and charged.

biggest problem is how do you prove the guilt of someone 40 or more years ago, it's a very hard call. Unless they own up like Stuart Hall.

I am wondering why, after all these years and all these different arrests of famous people, the victims are suddenly reporting the abuse, is it because years ago nothing would have been done about it?

I think it's because of JS getting away with it all and all the publicity it's had, people have found the courage to at last speak up, I feel.

if you are a child and an adult abused you, would you report it, or even know what to say to a parent or someone else, and even if you had and weren't believed, and many children are not sadly, then one can see why many didn't say anything. some have come forward now because one perhaps two now grown women have come forward, or grown men for that matter, as in the case of these despicable boys homes - large scale abuse by those they trusted, it's a very hard thing for a child to deal with on any level. Some of these may have been rather starry eyed teens, but i reckon the culture at the time played a large part in the cover up..

We do know that the BBC and police are guilty of cover ups.

Sexual abuse used to covered up and ignored. That is a fact.

I was abused as a child and I didn't tell anyone. It's embarrassing and shameful.

And for those who say they can barely remember yesterday, let alone 40 years ago, I can recollect every single second of my abuse. It's not something that ever leaves you.

My abuse came out because he did it to someone else.

My mum punched him...and she can punch.

He left the country within a few days!

Ummmm that is dreadful, nothing worse than child abuse, glad you can talk about it, but it is always there with you isn't it.

and em it's hard enough for an adult to denounce an abuser let alone a poor child.
