In last night's episode Janet pinches the bum of startled new boy Rob (Danny Miller), who incidentally is her boss.
Could one imagine if the roles were reversed and it was in real life and not a TV drama, surely the 'bottom pincher' would be up on a charge of sexual harassment in the workplace and looking for a new job.
Why is it deemed more acceptable when it is the female who does the 'bottom pinching'?

I think such behavioud would be unacceptable in the work place. I was bending over a desk a few years ago, and a female colleague smacked me, and laughed. I was shocked, and did think what would the result have been if the position was reversed.
I do think people genuinely can do these things without thinking, in the same way you can open your mouth without thinking, but it pays to be careful in these increasingly litigious times.
