Anonymous mobile phone numbers!

How can one call another mobile phone anonymously ? You know like when you call a landline number you can put 141 before dialling the number you wish to reach ? And is there anyway of tracing a mobile call if someone has been calling you and the number comes up as 'anonymous' ?

There will be an option on your phone where you can opt for withholding your number. The numbers are traceable as all the info will be on the servers but in what circumstances you could have this done I am not sure.

Homer is correct. The option to keep your number secret should be somewhere on your phone. (On my Nokia, it's Menu > Settings > Call Settings > Send My Caller ID).

Where the caller ID is not sent, calls can't be traced except when the police or security services obtain a court warrant to permit them to search the computer records of the telephone company.

I'm sure 141 works on mobiles too.......not that I've tried it of course!
