Question For The Ladies...romantic Weekend Away In The Lakes

I've booked a 3 night stay in a romantic hotel. I am on a budget so please bear with me on this one.

Would you prefer a bottle of bubbly and strawberry's dipped in chocolate ready in the room for when we arrive and a restaurant meal

or would you be happy with the restaurant meal only?

Alba...any romantic hotel worth its salt will have a bath with the taps in the middle...then both parties can get a toe stuck up the tap...:-) x

I love chocolate dipped strawberries but they have to be done with excellent chocolate and IMO don't really go with champagne. What time are you arriving? A glass of fizz while getting ready for dinner is nice but not essential and needs a leisurely prep time to enjoy. If you are arriving earlier, then afternoon tea would be my choice. If the budget is tight then I would be happy to forgo both rather than thinking of you being made skint.
