I normally wear a foundation that blends in with my skin and looks almost undetectable. But for a special wedding, I would like to look 'made-up'. Can anyone recommend something please?
If you're not used to putting much makeup on dont try and do it yourself on the day.
Go to house of Fraser. Tell them what you want to try and they'll do it all for you, with really good products, for free. Of course you'll get the hard sell throughout but this is where you tell them you want to see how it feels for a few hours and you'll pop back in later.
Boom. Make up done professionally and all for the price of parking the car.
Thanks for all your helpful suggestions. I cant get a makeover on the day as I am in charge of the bride's wee daughter while she (bride) gets herself titivated!
I was given this little tube of what my husband calls poly filler. The brand is smahbox photo finish. You use it after the moisturizer and be fo.re the foundation. It creates a good surface for makeup ap gives a lovely finish. I'm sure you can get something similar.
In that case, have a look on Youtube for tutorials, then practice once or twice before the day.
I do this loads and generally it works pretty well. I always take a photo of my finished look too, I think mirrors have a habit of showing you what you want to see.
