I'm trying to get in to the online check in section of a cruise website to complete my details. I've been on it before with no problems, but now have a window that comes up with
"Internet Explorer cannot open the site *******. Operation aborted"
I'm using AOL, not IE for a start, but does anyone have any ideas how to get round this? Apparently others can still use the site no problem.
Cheers.
The AOL web browser is actually Internet Explorer (which has been 'tweaked' by AOL). So you are using Internet Explorer.
Try using a decent web browser instead. The vast majority of the 'regulars', here in AB's Technology section, wouldn't touch any version of Internet Explorer with a raft load of barge poles. The most popular alternative is Firefox:

Greta. Firefox opened the site no problem. Any ideas how to make it the default browser for AOL, 'cos all the settings menus I've looked in it keeps saying that IE must be the browser. I'm sure there must be a way round it.
