Is anyone else a bit concerned that someone's going to get seriously hurt in this?

You want to elaborate iwbus rather than leave a rude "No"?
Are they not taught how to fall aswell as how to stand? I have never skated, but I have read in the paper that Bonnie Langford wears a crash helmet during rehersals, but they must all be insured anyway.

Does she? It wouldn't surprise me after the 1st episode showed her cracking her head on the ice when they were going into a swing.

I'm sure they're all insured and there's lots of professionals around to teach them but the amount of dropping and landing on there has been, I cringe to watch them sometimes.

They had a couple of close calls tonight getting their faces a bit too close to the ice. Anyone who has been ice skating will know how difficult it is to just move on them, so I think they are very brave (or stupid depending how you look at it). I don't usually watch celeb programmes, but I am enjoying this and I do hope no-one gets hurt.
Hi everybody, I have to say Im enjoying it much more than I thought I would. John Barrowman is fantastic. Gaynor or Kerri should have gone out tonight. Somehow being insured wouldnt reassure me if I was to bang my head very hard on the ice. I thought Stefans partner was very brave. But as you can see generally I have no opinions on it at all
As someone whose natural sense of balance is akin to that of a drunken hippo on a tightrope, I have great admiration for anyone brave/daft enough to get on ice skates. You wouldn't get me anywhere near the damn things. :-)

LOL @ LOM aww bless ! I'm sure it's not that bad !!

Same here Maggie, I don't watch reality TV programmes either but for some reason have watched celeb BB and now this - I'm enjoying this one so much. I'm a bit disappointed that Andrea is out though, I think she's a nice girl.

I with you there Peri, being insured would reassure me either. I really was worried a couple of time they'd not pull off what they'd been struggling with in rehersals.

No, I'm not. In the same way that I'm not worried about boxers, Formula 1 drivers, NH jockeys or any other person who participates in dangerous sports. They know what the dangers are and nobody is forcing them to do it.
rogerthomas says it better than I could
Dakota .....you may have seen the news, but David Seaman's partner has had to retire from the programme. They were doing a move where she was supposed to slide between his legs and he lost his balance and fell on her. He's a big lad, pictures in the paper today make it look like she had a lucky escape. She's got a bad shoulder injury (same as the one which caused him to retire from footie) and skated on Saturday only with the help of pain killing injections. They had to remove any difficult moves as her arm couldn't cope. Now docs say it is too risky for her to continue, so they're out.
