I can't seem to find any information on UK births but if you use this link it should give you information on US births. http://channels.netscape.com/homerealestate/package.jsp?name=fte/julybabies/julybabies
My husband and I call our eldest daughter our 'powercut baby' because when she was born in August 1997 , there was a baby boom in our local hospital and subsequently our GPs surgery and baby clinic was always overflowing at any given time. I put this down to a period of time in November (which ties in with my date of conception) when we had a powercut for the full night one evening and part of the following day. I found out shortly afterwards that I was pregnant and my health visitor informed me that there had been a significant increase in the numbers of babies born around the same period of time. Perhaps it was the candlelit atmosphere that did it. I guess that not everyone was playing scrabble that night !
