It seems there has been a bit of "back peddling" with regards the "infallible" popes statement of a few days ago.
A spokesman from the vatican has issued a clarification of the popes words and guess what? It didn't mean what you thought it meant.

Wharton, //I didn't say that the Pope and his "cronies"//

No, you didn’t – I did.

// (another risible insult?)//

Why an insult? He is surrounded by cronies – but viewed in the sombre light of what they actually represent, ‘risible’ they are not.

You didn’t explain how the atheist in your example discovered that everyone in the country was an expert on popes, but that aside, unless you mean the police should have caught the vandals who broke the window (difficult perhaps if they had chucked the brick and scarpered) I fail to see the relevance of the rest of your post.
Papish Bastards! Surely a message like that would only come from one of the other risible Abrahamic cults?
clonbrusk, yes, indeed.
I think Wharton missed my point, oh well perhaps I should be a little more blunt.
I think you're right. ;o)
You both think too much, or perhaps not enough :-)
Wharton, is that the best you can do?
