I'd love to be able to get hold of real cochineal again. It was a far better red colouring than the modern chemical ones. Where do these manufactiurers get cochineal if I can't ?
Mind you,. .. one of the reasons I heard for phasing out cochineal was that it had become too expensive, so this story doesn't actually hang together.
