Boo I don't think relative newcomers are against chatterbank, I personally don't care whether it's there or not, but there seems to be this constant war going on about suggestions. It's when chat is posted in Suggestions that it seems to get some people's backs up because as the ABEd has seen fit to terminate CB then obviously they don't want hardcore chatting here just the odd passing remark.I've no objection to chat in a chatroom, or even here to an extent but sometimes it does get really nasty and I think the purist's here can't understand why people who want to chat don't just go to a chatroom.
