Persistent Veruccas
14 Answers
I have had veruccas on the soles of both feet for over 6 months now.
Despite applying verucca gel morning and night and using a scrub, they have not shifted.
Does anyone have a solution?

Wak, a verruca is a wart not a foreign body in the foot. SallyAnn 16, I've been trying to get rid of a persistent Verruca on son 2's foot for over 6 months, I've bought the Scholl freeze stuff and have applied loads of times but to no avail. The Assistant in Boots told me the only way is to get it frozen off at the GP surgery.
I had them for a long time in my teens. Tried all the treatments going - some very unpleasant and nothing worked. In the end was given (probably from the doctor) formalin to put on them - which just looked like a bottle of water. This did work and they never came back.
I think it is formaldahyde in solution - your doctor should be able to prescribe it, if not the pharmacist.

I had several for a few years and tried everything, including having them frozen by a chiropodist which was very painful and expensive.
I used some normal vinegar, dabbed this onto the verruca, covered the verraca in black masking tape and left the tape on over night. I then, reapplied more vinegar the next now and covered again. I kept this procedure up for a couple of weeks and every single verruca went within two to three weeks.
Basically, the vinegar kills off the virus and the tape starves it of oxygen which means it has no environment to survive. I am sure with this method you will have success.
