hi, i'm thinking of booking a weeks holiday to the isle of man in june, the hotels & b&b's seem reasonably priced but someone told me its very expensive to get around and eat out, have any ab's been there and is it very expensive? grateful for any help.

I guess you're not going for the TT week !!!


Prices are not much different to the UK, but fuel is a bit more expensive. I have been several times but I am unsure of your travel arrangements.There are bus services but travel by car is much more convenient as the areas of interest are pretty much spaced apart.


Make sure you get down to the Calf of Mann area to see the seals and Port St Mary/Port Erin is nice.

harley, thanks for your reply, sounds ok then,i'll definitely check out calf of mann & port st mary,i don't have a car but i'm sure i'll find some kind of transport to get me there! thanks again.

Been there a couple of years ago. Buses very easy to get around the island. You could buy a weekly ticket that made travel much cheaper. It included buses, Douglas trams and the steam trains if I remember correctly.


You'll be spell bound with the seals. So close you feel as though you can touch them.
