i have a t reg focus and while coming home the other day the yellow engine management light came on. ichecked under the bonnet when at home and realised that the coolant reservoir was empty could this cause the light to come on ? have`nt used the car since.

Why don't you top it up then check if the light goes out!

While your at it check all the other fluid levels!
