Training to become a plasterer

Does anyone know the best way to train to become a self employed plasterer? What qualifications are needed and the best courses available? I don't work in the trade so would be starting "afresh".

I don't know anything about the plastering trade but my hubby is a painter/decorator, and what I DO know is that there appears to be something of a shortage of plasterers in this country (a bit like good plumbers) certainly in my area of W. Yorks you can't get a reliable plasterer for love'nor' money - so I suppose what I am saying is if you do go down that line - you should never be out of work. Good Luck to you.
