Just opened the lean-to shed to get my hoe out. Mouse ran over my foot, don't know who got the biggest fright! He's welcome to stay in the shed just so long as he stays out of the house!

I would have freaked boxy. My son had a pet rat called Gibby. Nice to look at just so long as it was in its cage!
I have a little vole living in my rockery, sure she has young in there too, she's so cheeky, she comes to the bird table and takes some seeds, looks at me and I say hello there, she doesn't mind me being there, she just carries on, and as long as she stays outside she's very welcome!........
The trouble is, one mouse quickly turns into many and then look for new housing accommodations.
My last cat regularly used to bring in live mice. I used to isolate both cat and mouse in the hall where they couldn't go anywhere else, pick up and put the cat (when she had let go of the mouse) in another room and then catch the mouse and put it outside. I became quite adept at catching them eventually!
You managed to get a good look at it then? (^^"he"??)
