Depressing Songs From Your Youth

I`m just listening to Killing Me Softly (on the radio) by Roberta Flack. Why is that song so depressing? It doesn`t bring back any bad memories, it`s just depressing. Likewise, anything by The Carpenters, I Can`t Live by Harry Nilsson, and Gypsies Tramps and Thieves by Cher.

Hope Theres Someone by Anthony & The Johnsons

Banks of the Ohio. The version I knew was by Olivia Newton-John.

My grade six teacher tried to teach it to our class. It really isn't suitable for ten year olds.

ah well at least its the eagles Tonyav. Best Group ever! My poor daughter was subliminally brain washed into liking them as a tot she heard them so much ! I was horrified to see Randy Meisner on the recent prog on BBC he used to be so hansome.
