How Wrong Can You Be

On Friday I went to the supermarket and bought more than I could comfortably carry ( as you do ) When I got off the bus I had a 'funny turn ' and had to put the bags down while I rested.
A young woman came up to me and picked up the shopping and walked with me all the way home. At this point I should tell you that she was a really down and out and obviously on drink or drugs. I had never seen her in the village before so I was a bit worried. Anyway I thanked her and off she went.
This morning she knocked on my door, again drunk or drugged and asked if I wanted anything doing. I said that I was going out and that I did'nt need anything. As she was going up the path I felt sorry for her and asked if she needed any money, she just said 'no thank you, and walked off. It made my day. Never judge a book by it's cover.

It is hardly difficult to tell if someone is drunk or on drugs now is it!

That was a nice thing to do Leah but you are right to be a little wary...or at least your daughter is.
A scruffy but friendly young man offered to carry my suitcase up some steps and chatted all the way. What I didn't know was his friend had appeared and had opened and investigated my rucksack without me knowing.
The ninety crocheted squares I had taken to put together on my break must have puzzled him...he didn't take them. :-) x

daffy I don't understand what you are on about. Prove it that I've been here before. its quite easy for admin to check ISP's emails etc I've even been in correspondence with the Ab Editor when I joined and got emails back so if there was anything 'iffy' they would have known. Whoever you think I am you are way off, total rubbish. I'm winding no-one up just having an opinion like everyone else on here so if its not to your liking well tough titties. I suggest you contact the Ed asap if you think I'm a previous user and let him sort it out.
My family know me as being a soft touch and are always warning me to be careful.
I have been conned before when a young man said that he had kicked a ball into my garden and asked if I would help him look for it. This I did but when I went back into the house my purse had gone.Seems that he had an accomplice who came into the house while we were looking for a ball which did'nt exist
