The grub could be SLOTH , although I don't know why we'd lose the S.

Factor Fiction- Thanks for your input I got Lothario as being a lover and ending in the first letters of and rum in order, but it was wrong and gourmand makes more sense. I am having great difficulty this morning and have no letters in 2d. but it is only 8 letters.
