Am I right in thinking you can't leave negative feedback for a buyer that hasn't paid, even after repeated reminders?
All I can see is the option to leave positive or report (which I've done) but if I want to leave a message on feedback I have to click positive with would keep her over % up. I can see other people have done that just so they can say this same buyer hasn't paid in the past but why should I contribute to her 'excellent' overall score when she's clearly a time waster. It's crap!
It is cr@p, isn't it? But once again, the answer rests with US litigation. People have sued ebay in the States and won because they've been left what they believe to be incorrect feedback. They then get given vastly inappropriate amounts of compensation.
All I can suggest you do, if the dispute resolution thing doesn't work, is tick the positive box then in the text put "THIS PERSON DOES NOT PAY!!!!!" or something like that.
Can't believe it'll stay there very long, but it might make you feel a bit better.
Yes, its so unfair that sellers have to bend over backwards and buyers can get away with 'murder' with little comeback.
I do sell quite a few bits myself but this system really puts me off sometimes, it never used to be the case, when I first started doing it, a seller could leave neg,
but over the years Ebay have gone more over to the buyers side and sellers have to put up with it, they don't seem to care.
I really don't think I'll bother with eBay again. Every time I use it it never seems worth the effort and then you don't get paid for what you sell anyway.
I can see a seller would not be happy about leaving a fair comment about a poor buyer, but on the other hand a decent buyer doesn't wish to be maligned by a dodgy seller who could leave unfair feedback if you dared stand up for your rights. As someone who has never sold on eBay and yet used to buy a fair few items, it seemed a good move to me. Might have been less of an issue if eBay allowed a longer conversation so an abused individual can tell the world their side of the story and why the other guy was being a total unfair arse.
