I thought by creating a new folder and inserting the photo's you wish to send in it and then by using Insert-attach I could send the photo's that way. However the only way I appear to be able to do is insert each photo individually. Is that the only way only seems a long winded way. Thanks for any advice.
I don't do it that way, I just attach photos to email from my photo album on the computer. Perhaps the folder of photos is too big to attach - your email account will have a maximum size for sending attachments.
Most email clients won't allow you to attach a folder, you can select multiple photo's when doing an insert by clicking on the first then holding the shift key and clicking the last and they should all select, as boxtops said there is a size limit so selecting too many means the mail won't send anyway.
I like to optimize the size for emailing photos, so they don't arrive as huge pictures that you can only see a little bit of at the bottom of the mail. This also lets you send more. 5 inches by 100dpi is about right.
I've just sent myself an email with 3 pics attached using Thunderbird and there were no problems. I selected those 3 from the same folder but could have chosen as many as I wanted (and have just tried it again with 29 chosen at random from that folder).
You can make a zip folder on your desktop and drag your pictures to that and THEN upload it to your email as a single thing. That's how I transfer multiple files.
