It does make sense, doesn't it.
what has been done with all that rain we had and the water that flooded our lane for so long?
Question Author
not after the all the wet weather we had since this time last year.

Dave.
It was the wrong kind of rain, LadyJ.
We always have this problem over here as fresh water frows from mainland Spain, and if we overuse it, then the wells get full of salt water and then we never recover, so we are very frugal with water. In Ibiza town the water is salty even though it is desalinated, horrible wash clothes or drink from the cups. Makes me furious when I see people wasting our water.
everybody's free to save their own rainwater and use it as they please, but they prefer to outsource it to water companies.
The winter/spring rain helped restore the reservoirs and water table, it remains everyone's responsibility to use water wisely. Water is a valuable resource that we should all respect.
It is all about where the rain falls and the catchment area. Living in Africa I really try and save water. We have had no water for three days and my tank is running low.
