Looks like I might have to fly to Scotland from Bristol for a funeral. Both of our passports are out of date. I have a photo driving licence but my wife doesn't. Would a photographic bus pass provide enough id?

I don't know how many people these days don't have a passport, though?
They acquiesce because the price of the flight is so attractive.
Many people do not have a passport. Or a driving licence as I know to my cost. I did without either for 35 years.
Easyjet T and C

The following are acceptable forms of ID.

UK domestic flights:

A valid passport - an expired passport can be used up to a maximum of two years after expiry

Valid photographic EU or Swiss national identity card

Valid photographic driving licence

Valid armed forces identity card

Valid police warrant card/badge

Valid airport employees security identity pass

A child on parent' s passport is an acceptable form of ID

CitizenCard

Valid photographic firearm certificate

Valid Government-issued identity card

SMART card

Electoral identity card

Pension Book

Passengers must present one of the above forms of valid photographic identification on all UK domestic flights. No other forms of photographic identification are accepted. If you do not have one of the above means of identification, easyJet cannot accept you for travel.
i don't have a passport boxy
I would have thought the reason for an up to date passport, is in case of the worst!!!!!!!!!!!!
But not everyone can afford ~£100 just in case of emergencies TWR. Especially in this scenario when the train can be used.
Quickness Eccles.
For domestic travel an intercity train and connections is often just as good as a plane.

And doesn't (currently require) photo ID.

^^^apologies for dodgy use of brackets.
No probs, have you recovered from your far east hols?
Jeez, that was months ago TWR, I've been away once again since then and am currently sorting my next sortie to Egypt!

Thanks for asking!
Until a few years ago had none of those KJN. Now I have a passport just not worth the hassle to catch internal flight. Would have to get a bus to the station to catch a train to an airport. Possibly a connecting train to the airport itself. Check in and hang about for a couple of hours, hope the flight was not delayed. Revers procedure at the other end.
Too much hassle.

Just to let you know, I emailed easyJet and asked them. They confirmed that a 'Local Authority train, bus or library card' would allow an internal flight.

Just to follow on, I have retained the email (with a Customer Service name on it) if anyone wants it!! Their webpage does not show this.
