tanning tablets

do they work? are they safe? anyone seen the effects? - i dont wanna look winter pasty anymore! anyone tried holland and barrett's tanning pills?

I don't know about these particular ones but some containe carotene which not only changes the colour of the skin but can also tint the whites of the eyes.

i guess you'd know 'irisred', with a name like that!! i'm booking barbados instead of buying them tablets now, bit more expensive but at least i get to get a few weeks off work. :) thanks iris!

lol! Red for my hair not my eyes but would say Barbados would be the much better option!!

My sister tried some of these a few years ago. Her skin was a lovely colour....all of it...including the palms of her hands, the soles of her feet and her scalp! Not recommended!

I used the H+B ones a few years ago on a trip to Crete. My tan was enhanced and deepened to a darker brown colour and the whites of my eyes, palms of hands etc were fine!

My tan also lasted longer when using them and I got loads of compliments! I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again!

Have to agree with thikasabrik I tried them once and as aformentioned ALL of me went orange
