Certified copy of marriage certificate
I need to send proof of my change of name to my share registrars. They said I could either send my original marriage certificate (which I am reluctant to do) or get a certified copy of my marriage certificate from my bank. I've been to a couple branches of both the banks I have accounts with, but they are unable to supply a certified copy.
Can anyone suggest where else I can get one?

Otherwise you can send off the the register office where your marriage was registered and you can get a copy from there. That will cost you 7.

Thanks CheekyChops. That's what I thought would happen - I've taken my original marriage certificate to various branches of my banks, but they've said they used to be able to certify copies, but can't do it any more. No explanation as to why. I didn't think it would be that difficult!
Looks like I'll have to contact my register office!
