Have grandchildren staying with me at the moment. Little madam has just phoned her dad to tell him that I'm force feeding her. All I did was heat up the sweetcorn and she apparently likes it cold. Told her to leave it for 5 mins and it would be cold and she could eat it then. She's not a happy bunny but tough.
i used to be a "if they don't want it they can go to bed hungry" kind of thinker. However, when confronted by a crying with hunger baby, i have moderated my views somewhat!
The child's parents should have told you what they do and don't like to eat (and if they are fussy about it being hot or cold). For the sake of harmony (and your stress levels), maybe you could tell them what's for tea each night and gauge their reactions?
