My 2 children are in their thirties and I would be very sad if they did not turn to me if they were in trouble.

Maybe I'm going about this the wrong way. Maybe I should turn into a vegetable and play dumb and force the help. Just sit there and let them section me. If anyone of you knew how I felt psychologically now you'd probably advise it. I suppose keeping safe is paramount.
