Has anyone here ever used an online estate agents and home buyers? I want to relocate nearer to my daughter and have had 3 estimates from local E/A's, all gave the same estimates. Yesterday I saw an ad for online E/A's. I entered my details plus the estimated price of the house and had a reply. They offered me £170,000 plus they pay all the costs..solicitors etc. The 3 local E/A gave me an estimate of £195,500 without costs of course. Thanks.

I am confused estate agents don't offer money for houses, they help you sell to other people. They might tell you a recommended price to sell at but you don't have to go for that price
Be careful a lot of these house buying Companies are being investigated by the OFT at the moment, they tie you into a contract and then reduce the price at the last minute. You then have to accept or pay them a large fee.
Ps if they are offering to buy, beware. You won't get what they've offered you!

ubasses I just read the link you gave, thanks so much I don't think I'll be bothering with these people or any other online home buyers. I was suprised to see how they drop the prices at the last minute. Boxtops I had it wrong,I meant house buyer not estate agents:-( Thanks again.
