I sold a car on Ebay and the winning buyer sent a message within ten minutes of the auction ending asking if he could pick it up that evening and pay cash. He lived about 80 miles away, had never seen the car or asked any questions about it. The thing was, though, I had given a very accurate description and about 10 photographs. So when he arrived two hours later, he only spent a minute checking it, paid, drove away and that was that.
A friend of mine bid and won a much more expensive car located nearly three hundred miles away. When he arrived to pick it up he found the car described as 'only one owner' had two names in the log book. He was told the first name was 'only the dealers' and that did not count. Being in the motor trade (as was the seller) my friend explained that it did. He got £1000 pounds off the price.
