I've unticked some boxes to speed up startup but now my printer isn't recognised.I've gone back over what i did but can't see why this happened or is it a coincidence with some other reason, any help would be appreciated Thanks !
Try unplugging the printer usb and temporarily re-plugging into a different usb point. You might be lucky and get the drivers installed again.
I was thinking you were using msconfig.exe. Doesn't CCleaner ask you to back up settings before you have a 'twiddle', hopefully you can go back and restore them.
Good answer from SlackAlice. I too assumed you were using msconfig. Personally I would steer clear of registry cleaners and the like. I know people who have had real problems with them.
A dropdown message from what?
Try this:-
Click on Start button and type 'msconfig.exe' (without the quotes) in the Search box. Click on the result that comes up.
When the System Configuration utility window appears go to the 'Services' tab and scroll down until you find 'Print Spooler' and put a tick in the box, click 'Apply' and 'OK', restart your pc.
Thanks SAl,I did as you said but the print spooler was already ticked,so I unticked it then ticked again in the hope that it might kickstart a reaction ,but no luck I'm afraid.
EPSON EasyPrintModule (3.10
There were two choices of driver and i chose the one above and d/loaded it,but where is it? The times I find myself in this situation.I've taken some stick over my choice of CCleaner.
Is it in your 'Downloads' folder waiting to be run.? Unless it is 'run' it is unlikely to be installed on your Computer for activation of your Printer.
Thanks every one I've finally got it going .From the start a lot of answers suggested it could be the printer spoolers, but at the time I couldn't find a prog to check it out,now I have and all is hunkey dorey thank goodness.I couldn't live without my printer !!
