Night Storage Heaters
3 Answers
Following helpful discussions a few months ago (thanks guys for your help) I have had 2 quotes. Fischer Heat and Wibo, for upgrading 25 year old storage heaters. Just wondered if anyone who has had new ones can tell me if they really do make a significant difference to electric bills. Quotes have been £5000/4000 total for 4/3 radiators. I'm looking long term investment so not counting how many years to get back the initial outlay.

So unless you are having all the circuits replaced and a new off peak distribution board fitted £4-5000 may be a little expensive depending where you are located. You may get it done cheaper and use the money saved on insulation if its needed.
New heaters will be more controllable but the running costs will be much the same.
