I know of a few people who have not had their furry friends castrated because of either cosmetic or psychological reasons(guys feeling queasy at getting their best friend's nuts removed) but is this taking it too far?

Now you can ensure that Fido does not feel different from his un-neutered doggy friends ~ he might feel embarrassed cocking his leg to have a wee and allowing the world to see that he has no balls.

What is he supposed to lick on the long boring evenings in front of the telly?

This is the answer http://www.neuticles.com/

old story....you can get earrings made of them. They started off in the US for show dogs who had to have one or both removed for medical reasons.
The dogs know they are neutered.... as they smell different....
What a load of balls.

I saw the bit about the earrings but thought that it was a wind-up. I understand that people will want to use them for show dogs - makes sense.

But as PP says dogs operate using their sense of smell. They don't know about doggy anatomy.

I heard about this a couple of years back but was reminded of it again after reading an article about pampered mutts.
I gather its (earrings) aimed at disaffected divorced wives!

Imagine going out with your earrings on and telling somebody that they are your husband's nuts.
