Can anyone help me with the title or author of a monologue i need? Its a letter written by a pensioner to a bank manager asking for money for an OAP club and listing their previous failed fund-raising attempts. Thanks.

No help I'm afraid but monologues always remind me of an old friend, now sadly deceased who knew,I'm sure, every comic monologue that had been written and when he was in his cups he would have the pub in stitches with his stories of Albert and the lion, Sam and his musket and how Geordie won the Battle of Waterloo to mention a few.Pure commedy and never a swear wordin the lot of them
This probably won't help with the original question; however, for those of you interested in monologues this is a great site:

Could it be Tom Wrigglesworths' Open Letters - where his ficitonal Auntie Mabel (I think) writes letters to various captains of industry including a bank manager in series 1
