I have read Gness's post on her trip out today and tutted to myself.
I then had a recap on my day.
All was going well until this afternoon when I received a frantic call from a friend who has a shop in town. She needed to go to the local Minor Injuries unit fairly quickly and asked me to hold the fort in the shop.
In the space of a mere 30 minutes I managed to:
1.Overcharge somebody £20 (in my defence I didn't have my specs with me)
2.Sell something for the wrong price as I was looking at the price label upside down
3. Carefully wrapped a fragile wooden yacht in tissue paper, placed it delicately in a large carrier bag gently handed it to the customer and then when I held my hand out to receive her payment I knocked the bag and snapped a mast
4. Stab a customer in the hand with a pair of scissors
5. Messed up the till - I couldn't get it to work
6. Tore a £10 note in half as I was getting it out of the till
7. Knocked over a full jar of coffee in the store room.

What is amazing is that she wants me back again later this week

It's a bumbles brother, Psybbo.
Tony...it is such a bad and amazing story I will have to tell it when we next meet...it needs the hand actions too.....☻
Question Author
psybbs, a bimble is a short gentle journey (made either on foot or by cycle)
Thank you, goodnight, xxx
The second MrG bought me a bicycle too...we are indeed twins.....He bought it at a Midnight Madness sale in Canada...when I was seven months pregnant. He thought I would be thrilled......
Can't wait to hear about that, gness hand actions ?.

G'night, Psybbo, sleep well.
Your never gonna say that you wasn't thrilled, gness lol.

i am off too. Night all xx
G'night to you as well then, mrs overcharge, sleep well.
Tony...I tried..and I tried to ride it...Canada...wrong side of the road.. just couldn't get the hang of it. I was either facing on coming traffic or going round and round the block because I couldn't turn left.

Night all who are turning in....x
Don't they do a left hand drive bike over there then, gness ?.
I had a left hand drive, Tony....maybe that was the problem.
But did you peddle only using your left leg though, gness.
I still ttremble at the memory of being in a shop absolutely crammed with impedimenta and praying that neither of 'the twins' would start waving their arms (or indeed axes) about ...
Were the flamethrowers left at the door, dave ?.
Tony...my left leg is much shorter than my right...whatever I did I just went round and round in circles....

Dave...if memory serves me right...you parked me by the unbreakable leather goods and told me not to move...while you held MrsO's hands to stop her moving....☺
I was still worried that "the curious incident with the woman at the door of the ladies" might have resulted in PC Whitbyplod being scrambled on his pushbike to hunt us down ...
May I just inform you all that at one point Dave left us on the pretext of photographing *interesting* views......
We think he may have been gathering himself in the nearest hostelry.. ;-)
