.....//Vettel dominance bores fans - Hamilton//

Well actually, Formula 1, IMO, is equally as boring as Strictly Come Dancing and tha X Factor. Can't wait for the season to finish.

I wonder if Hamilton would say that if he was dominating the racing?
Probably not but he's still right.
It's all dull.
Paint drying springs to mind.
he would say that, wouldn't he, but I suppose he's got a point. Anything gets broing when one person wins all the time. Sampras used to put me to sleep. At least things like Strictly have some unpredictability thrown in.
Did they say on the radio that the cars who were 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the grid ...

Finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th ...

So they just drove round and round and round and round and ...

... then it finished.
I sit with my OH whilst he watches every single lap, and he shouts at the screen, yells to different drivers to do this and do that, punches the air when someone overtakes, gives a very detailed running commetary about each little tiny change in the rankings, goes on about the tyres, the teams, the statistics, he predicts what will happen and chunners on and on about the line and the this and the taht, he gets worked up about it, shouts in exsasperation at all the drivers he thin ks should be doing better, and still I sit there bored out me bloody mind. tut
you should take up a hobby, dot, Eiffel Tower out of matchsticks, that sort of thing
It isn't a race, it's a procession. Unless someone has an accident/tyre blowout then it is usually whoever starts in pole finishes first.

You mentioned tyres DJ, well who in their right mind would buy Pirelli (or whichever manufacturer they use) tyres?

They have to change them two or three times each race. I would want mine to last a little longer than that!
What sort of person knows the brand of their car tyres ??!!
Maybe if the drivers/manufacturers drew lots for positions on the grid, then the best driver and car combination would/could win, rather than the standard procession?
it might as well just run the 1st practice session & take results from that, save fuel, tyresetc
if you dont like it dont watch it !
Like most things in the world today, any fun or real excitement has long been regulated out.
A small pensioner tinkering with the brand is no way to run what is seen as a prestige sport.
I agree with Lewis and Vettel's dominance does bore me as did Schumacher's, but I disagree it's a procession. If that were the case Hamilton would win or get a podium place in most races. He was 2nd on the grid on Sunday, but finished 5th. BTW JJ I know I have 4 Bridgestones on my car.
lozzer50 some of us have no choice but to watch lol! We try and do something more constructive but keep getting called back to the TV wondering if our OH has perhaps got something caught in his zip or been bitten by the cat. When we realise its just one motorbike or car passing another we creep back into the kitchen, only to be called back to watch while the TV is rewound so we can share one flat red noisy car overtake another flat blue noisy car and we are supposed to be as overjoyed or desolate as OH. :-)
lozzer50, I don't watch it any more, I stopped watching when I realised the race was won or lost by how long the car was stationary. I have said before, it's glorified Scalextrics but that's not fair, Scalextrics is more interesting.
