We have been expecting a delivery for a fortnight now.
2 weeks ago the driver took it back as undelivered, why? because we were out, even though a note had been left 'please leave deliveries in porch'
A second attempt was made to deliver earlier this week and when I called the carrier said the package had an incomplete address, no house number or name. We live in a rural community of 350 souls, and our lane, all the same post code, has 19 dwellings.
Wouldn't you think common sense might have suggested to the driver to ask a neighbour where we lived? I would have thought so, but then common sense left this world when PC took over!
We have similar issues with couriers :/ I can sympathise with you BlueToffee. The use of SATNAV has also caused problems with gaining packages it seems.
Just a comment in favour of the driver, if the package was left in good order with someone else and when YOU picked it up it was damaged! that's what's it all about Blue, contact the courier and ask for an estimated daytime del.
I only ever have things delivered to work for this reason, but I realise this is a perk not available to everyone. Can you have it delivered anywhere else?
They can be quite frustrating. You pay extra for a named day and they bring it the day before, leaving a note to tell you that you're out. It's often a bit hit-or miss.
TWR, next delivery date is next Tuesday, the package was to be taken to our friends in France, and we're off there tomorrow. They'll have to wait now until our next visit in April!
