By the way, we have a baker, a butcher but no candlemaker anymore. We also have a smashing old-fashioned iron mongers. We have a bank, two tattoo parlours and a wonderful Library as well. There is a specialist baby shop and a posh dress shop, much patronised by my nieces. We have at least 4 ladies hairdressers and one Barbers. Pretty good spread of businesses if you ask me. There were rumours of a massage parlour opening but the local Chapel Ladies Guild soon put a stop to that ! Formidable people, Chapel Ladies...its those hats that does it.

Hawksley, I don't equate a Chinese business centre "creating 20,000 jobs "with a Chinese business centre having 20,000 new Chinese immigrants. But you appear to think that because Chinese restaurants have Chinese cooks, the business centre 'creating' jobs is to import 20,000 Chinese. It doesn't follow. American and other foreign companies do not import natives of their own countries to entirely staff their business in this country; they create new jobs for British people when they open.

But your fear of foreigners coming here is noted.

If he does , It will make the Kray Twins look like choir boys.

It's not within his power to do that, hawksley - and do you think that people in high places are not making international trade visits all year round? Boris's trip doesn't seem particularly unusual to me.

over 124 thousand Chinese already live in the capital, so 20 thousand more won't be much of a change, beside if they have money, why not, better educated monied Chinese than more Romanian beggars
