I've lived on ham sandwiches, not good I know. Today on the way back from the hospital I called in to a cafe cum restaurant and instead of just having a cup of tea I ordered a meal. I told the waitress I was a bad eater and could she make it a small meal. I'll give you a children's portion she said. Two mouth full and I couldn't eat any more. The waitress covered my meal in tin foil, put it in a pizza box and told me to bring the plate back next time. I have just reheated my leftovers and eaten it all. What a star, along with the return of the plate will be a nice box of chocs. Why can't everyone be as nice as this girl.

Totally agree. A lovely young lady.
Wow! Unbelievable...
Nice kind, thoughtful young lady. Now that's what you call customer service.

Lovely story. I've got a tear in my eye.
I'm glad you have managed to have a good meal finally, you must look after yourself, you are also important.
I think people are much kinder than we give them credit for.
How nice...I lived on blueberry muffins for 18 months when dad was in hossie...no real food available at the cancer unit. Only sweets papers etc....it's important that you take care of yourself at this time jeza....xxx
That was a lovely gesture, it's good to know there is thoughtfulness and common sense around. When we were visiting our brother in hospital I found it hard to unwind and eat...I think I ended up living on small sized ready meals which I thought were better than no meal at all.
I agree with neti, take care of yourself.
Bless her, and thank her from us for looking after our Jeza.
I think there are more good people than bad, who quietly make a difference with small gestures like this.

I took the plate back and a big box of chocs, the young girl was overwhelmed. not as overwhelmed as I was yesterday at her kind gesture.
