For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.As you will know by now, the Aurora has 'formal' and 'semi-formal' nights for dinner. if you don;t wish to dress up, avoid the large dining rooms on these nights - you can count on one hand the people who don;t wear full evening dress (tuxedo and black tie for men) on those evenings, or suits on the 'semi-formal' nights.
The Aurora is a fabulous ship, the staff are wonderful, all facilities are amazing, and the whole experience, pound for pound, is the best value ever.
Do tip your cabin steward and your table waiters in cash - some Brits just don't bother, and these people do work really hard to make your stay comfortable, so remember, and reward appropriately.
If you have a birthday or aniversary, advise the Head Waiter in your dining room, he'll have a 'barber's shop quartet' of waiters to sing an appropriate greeting, and you can have a cake made as well.
I am deeply envious, and already saving for our next trip on this ship.Enjoy yourself.
heading for Madeira right now, I see (actually I can't see anything on the webcam because it's the middle of the night)
