..in the Daily Mail today? I mean nothing worthy, as important enough to be on AB . All I could find was something about a man who had served his sentence, had been retained in custody as an 'illegal' , and who hadn't been deported yet. That had some potential. Have I missed something?

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge today named Prince George's godparents as: Oliver Baker, their university friend; Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Prince William's trusted private secretary; Julia Samuel, old friend of Diana, Princess of Wales; William's first cousin Zara Tindall; Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster's son; Emilia...

AOG, does not "all are paying for [benefit scroungers]" include Daily Mail readers? But not all people perceive that they are paying; indeed it is conceivable that some aren't. But not all read the Mail. Those that do may enjoy, or be infuriated at, being outraged. They are probably pensioners who are dissatisfied with their lot or older middling taxpayers. The Mail knows its market.
I'm 65 and have been reading the DM daily since I was 23...........is there any treatment for this?
Question Author
PS No need to shout, AOG. I should have put 'not all perceive that they are paying for [benefit scroungers and immigration] and care a lot about that, over other concerns'. DM readers do, and are outraged.

Plebgate ? The greatest threat to Free Speech and the British Way of muddling thro is Police lying as shown in the select committee this afternoon ?

Too late, craft. You are, indeed, an addict. But you have achieved the first step in recovery, that of acknowledging the fact. How did this start? Did you start on something weaker? Did you take some and found you wanted more when others of your friends would stop? Please share.

Sorry - been in a meeting from 2pm until 30 minutes ago (yes - really!!).

The section of the Daily Mail which has disappeared is it's opinion page, called 'Right Minds'.

It's gone.

No explanation...just...disappeared.

Weird huh?
Sorry Fred..............I've been doing the DM cryptic crossword.

Sp, what was Right Minds? I vaguely recall a column with a guest writer and the punning title indicated that they took a right of centre viewpoint. If so, then it may have been dropped because the paper did not want to be seen as right wing. Do other papers have guests whose views are inevitably towards one wing? The Times has a "Thunderer" column, but that takes any viewpoint, if political, but it is commonly about some gripe about life that the writer has.

Craft, all is not lost! LOL

No - 'Right Minds' was a whole opinion page...not just one writer. It's almost like the Money or Science section disappearing.

It's really strange. There's nowhere for the Mail's right wing commentators to ran...errr...speak their minds...

There is also a list of Right Minds Bloggers
AOG

That's a link to the blog site - but 'Right Minds' used to be on the front page of the site. It's very odd.
