Why. Someone explain to me why it is described as walking/moving 'gingerly'.
e.g especially in rugby/football matches when someone has just got back up after taking a knock.

(even though those girls that play football are actually quite alright 99% of the time)

So you could say it was moving like a ginger (ginger beer - queer)
